Here's something for cold winter days. About 5 minutes in preparation.
- 2 pieces of rye bread, preferably Vaasan Ruispala or
similar.
- ~2 teaspoons of ketchup
- ~½ can of tuna pieces in oil
- 2 pieces of cheese, preferably Gouda or Emmental
- a pinch of Provencale herb mixture or generic pizza seasoning (or
basil and oregano and such)
- Spread some ketchup on the bread.
- Open the tuna can, pour out the oil, and mush the tuna into
flakes. Do NOT use out-of-tin flakes. Spread it on the bread, about ½-1 cm layer.
- Lay the pieces of cheese over the tuna.
-
Sprinkle on the seasoning.
-
Microwave until all of the cheese has melted. For more even heating (depending on your oven), position each end of the bread in the center of the oven in turn.
-
Carefully pull the cheese all the way to the edges of the bread
with a fork.
-
Let cool for a while, preferably on a grid or something to support it to avoid the bottom
getting soggy from condensation.
-
Put in mouth, chew, swallow.
